Principal Director of School Education, Thavaseelan K IAS, has directed the Sub-Divisional Education Officer of Bhandari, Wokha, to submit a detailed report on the reported absence of teachers and the non-functioning of Government Middle School, Yanpha, by August 20, 2024 for initiating disciplinary action against the erring teachers.
This follows a video showing students stranded outside the school during school hours on August 16, 2024, as no teachers, including the Teacher-in-Charge, reported for duty and the classrooms were closed. The video went viral on social media.
