Mokokchung, February 9 (MTNews):The Professorial Lecture Series of Clark Theological College for the faculty members of the College was held on February 08, in the Multi-Purpose Hall, Clark Theological College. Professorial Lecture series provides a platform to showcase and celebrate the College new professors. Each professor delivers two professorial lectures as mandatory for the promotion to the Rank of Full Professor. Professorial lecture represents a significant milestone in an academic’s career and is an opportunity for each professor to present an overview of their academic contributions so far and their future academic plans, while also introducing their work to a wider academic audience.
This year two of the faculty members, Dr. A. Temjen Jamir, from the department of Communication and Dr. K. Dhanbir Rai from the department of Religions delivered professorial lectures. Dr. Temjen Jamir delivered two lectures, “Dancing as Creative Communication: An Exploration of the Biblical and Theological Understanding of Dance in Christian Worship” and “Communicating Holistic Development among the People with Special Reference to North East India”, whereas Dr. Dhanbir Rai delivered on “Dancing into the Future: Striving to Establish Rai Identity through Sakela Sili” and “Modern Trendsetters of Yoga in Correlation to Patanjali Yoga”. The final remarks, conferring of professorship and declaration to the Rank of Full professor was pronounced by Dr. Sashikaba, Professor of Religions, Eastern Theological College and Dr. L. Imsutoshi Jamir, Professor of Communication, Clark Theological College. Rev. Dr. A. Temjen Jamir is the current Principal of the College and Rev. Dr. K. Dhanbir Rai is the Current Dean of Post Graduate Studies. The whole program was moderated by the Academic Dean, Rev. Dr. A. Tali Ao. “The Clark Community congratulate both Prof. A. Temjen Jamir and Prof. K. Dhanbir Rai on their promotion to the Rank of Full Professor and wish them God’s blessings,” an official communique said.
The Clark Theological College offers Diploma in Church Music Ministry, Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Theology in the branches of Christian Theology, Christian Ethics, Christian Counselling, Christian Education, Communication, Doctoral Research in the Department of Communication and from this year, the college is offering Master of Theology in both Old and New Testament.
