Mokokchung, September 19 (MTNews):Project Director, NEP-The Lighthouse (NECTAR) Thavaseelan K (IAS) has notified that applications are invited for the second batchof Performance Incentive Grants (PIG) which is being made available for all the Government Schools in Nagaland under the Nagaland Education Project (NECTAR).

 

The applications are invited from 20 September, 2022 for which the SMCs and SMDCS have been asked to apply. Forms are made available for downloading at nagalandeduproject.com and a link is also being shared with all EBRC Coordinators and District Project Assistants (DPA) to circulate to all eligible schools.

 

The application forms are to be duly filled and submitted to the EBRC Coordinators along with the mandatory enclosures on or before 7th October, 2022 for further screening and approval.

 

The Lighthouse (NECTAR)is a project funded by the World Bank which emphasizes on reinforcing the relevance of “Communitisation” of schools and strengthens the community’s role as guardians of public institutions. Therefore, to build capacity and to enhance participation and promote commitment of the SMCS and SMDCs, the Performance Incentive Grants is being made available for all the 1939 Government Schools in Nagaland in three batches over a two-year period. In the first batch 738 schools were shortlisted and the activities and plans are being implemented under the 1stinstalment.
