Kohima, 9 June (MTNews): The Education Department of Nagaland has issued a directive to schools, instructing them to provide provisional admission to Naga students who are returning from Manipur and are in Class 7 or below. Schools that follow the state curriculum have been permitted to grant admission to these students even without the submission of educational documents from their previous school.

However, parents of these students must submit an undertaking stating that all necessary documents will be provided before the commencement of the Third Term Examination in 2023. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

For admissions to Class 8 and above, it was informed that prior approval from the Nagaland Board of School Education is necessary.

Additionally, the Education Department has requested all school principals to submit the number of students admitted under this provision since last month by the 12th of June.
