Pughoboto, 22 December (MTNews): With the theme “In your light we see the light,” Pughoboto Town Baptist Church (PTBC) celebrated its 75th anniversary on December 22 in Pughoboto Town. This momentous occasion marked decades of unwavering faith and divine favor. Every member of the church came together to commemorate this incredible journey, acknowledging God’s steadfast faithfulness that has guided them through hardships and victories since 1949.
Following the dedication of the jubilee monolith by Executive Secretary, SABAK, Rev Tovishe P Shohe, the program was chaired by Akali J Swu. Dr Sukhato A Sema, MLA of the 13th A/C Pughoboto, was the guest speaker. He encouraged the believers to receive Christ, strengthen their relationship with the Lord, and reconcile with God by faith. Rev Dr Kiyeto Sema, Sr Pastor of SABCK, invoked God’s blessing upon the church members, while the message was delivered by Rev Tovishe P Shohe. Reflecting on this milestone, he shared the Word of God and emphasized inheriting God’s kingdom as the church grows and matures in its faith journey. The benediction was given by Rev Akhato Swu from Mishilimi village.
In a spiritually uplifting evening service, PTBC Pastor Ahovi Swu delivered an impactful message to the congregation under the theme of Ephesians 5:8. The program, chaired by Toluvi Swu, an Evangelist from the M/Dept of SABAK, featured Retired Secretary of the Home Department Among S Ao as the guest speaker.
Jekuto Wotsa, the convenor of the 75th Planning Board, closed the evening with a heartfelt vote of thanks. The service concluded with a benediction from Rev Saluvi Saghu, Chaplain at the Prayer Center of Chishiqa SABAK, further sealing the event with spiritual significance.
