Minister for PWD (Housing & Mechanical Engineering), P Bashangmongba Chang, formally inaugurated the PWD Office Complex at Tongdentsuyong Ward, Mokokchung today, 12 March.
Speaking at the event, the Minister expressed appreciation for Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio’s leadership and commitment to infrastructure development in the state. He stated that the project reflects the Chief Minister’s vision for a well-planned and modern Nagaland. He further noted that the new complex symbolizes progress for Mokokchung district and beyond, providing a better working environment for employees and improving the department’s efficiency in serving the public.
Emphasizing the significance of the Public Works Department, which is responsible for the construction and maintenance of roads, buildings, and other essential infrastructure, Chang said the addition of the complex would strengthen the department’s capacity to deliver timely and quality services. He also urged officers and staff to uphold integrity, commitment, and service to the people.
Earlier in the program, short speeches were delivered by Chief Engineer PWD (H) Er Hozheto Shikhu and Tongdentsuyong Ward Chairman Imti Ozukhum. Junior Engineer PWD (H), Mokokchung Division, Er Talitemjen Jamir, presented the technical report. The event was chaired by Executive Engineer PWD (H), Mokokchung Division, Er Chengato Kath, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Superintending Engineer, Circle-1 PWD (H), Kohima, Er Supongliba. The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Monglier, Pastor of MTBA.
