QMHSS recorded the highest student enrolment in Mokokchung during 2019-20

According to Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE+) data record of 2019-20, among the schools in Mokokchung, Queen Mary Higher Secondary School (QMHSS) recorded the highest number of student enrolment with 2,138 students.

 

This was followed by Jubilee Memorial School with recorded 1,641 students while Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School recorded an enrolment of 1007 which is the only government run school among the three.

 

U-DISE (Unified District Information System for Education) is a database about schools in India developed at the Department of School Education, MHRD, Govt. of India and maintained by National Informatics Centre, Govt. of India.

 

UDISE+ is an updated and improved version of UDISE which collects information on school profile, physical infrastructure, teachers, enrolments, examination results, etc. through an online Data Collection Form (DCF).

 

The UDISE+ 2019-20 also reported a total of 2758 schools in Nagaland out of which 1,990 is managed by the state government, 18 by the central government, 3 by tribal welfare and 746 by private unaided. The three tribal welfare managed schools are in Dimapur, Mon and Tuensang.

 

The highest number of schools were recorded in Dimapur district with a grand total of 517 schools, followed by Mon with 308 and Zunheboto with 282 schools.

 

Dimapur district recorded 224 private unaided managed schools making it the highest in the state followed by Kohima with 107 and 79 in Mon.

 

Mokokchung District recorded a total of 259 schools out of which 197 schools are managed by the state government, 2 by the central government and 60 by Private Unaided.
