Kohima, December 2 (MTNews): Rachel Rimeiaka Jyrwa from Meghalaya was crowned Miss Hornbill International 2023 during the grand finale ceremony held at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima, on Saturday.
Newly crowned Miss International Hornbill, Jyrwa, received Rs 2 lakh along with gift hampers. Tanusa Gogoi from Arunachal Pradesh secured the first runner-up position, and Vezotolu Shijoh from Nagaland was declared the second runner-up. The runners-up were awarded Rs 1.50 lakh and Rs 1 lakh, respectively. Each winner of a subtitle received Rs 15,000. The event was produced and managed by Vogue Entertainment Nagaland.
The grand finale was graced by Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, as the special guest. The competition featured a total of 14 contestants, including Bagmita Saikia (Assam), Babli Biswakarma (Arunachal Pradesh), Julie Zhimomi (Nagaland), Ajano Kithan (Nagaland), Puspita Murasing (Tripura), Eileen Mercy D Nongrum (Meghalaya), Isha Lalhriatrengi (Mizoram), Manila Dhakal (Nepal), Lunsola T (Nagaland), Tojir Nyori (Arunachal Pradesh), and Eulaila A Malngiang (Meghalaya).
