The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rainfall warning for Northeast India with fairly widespread, light or moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds “very likely” during the next five days. According to the department, fairly widespread rainfall over Mokokchung is expected on May 9 to May 12.
Meanwhile, the District Level Agromet Advisory Bulletin of the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Nagaland has also predicted that light to moderate rain (10-29 mm) with cloudy sky is expected during the coming few days. Expected average day temperature is up to 27°C and average night temperature is up to 15°C and heavy rainfall is very likely on 10th May. During 11th to 17th May, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to receive above normal rainfall, it was reported.
