The Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) Unit, Kiphire District, in collaboration with Atshikeh Trust and Akeda Amulung MMU Unit, organized health camps under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan campaign at Thangthure Village and Good Shepherd High School, Kiphire.

The camps saw participation from villagers across age groups, with a focus on children and adolescents. Residents received a wide range of health screenings and interventions, including 4Ds screening for children, oral cancer screening, entero-test, haemoglobin testing, hypertension and random blood glucose screening, HIV testing, NS1 antigen and malaria testing, scrub typhus serological testing, tetanus toxoid vaccination, and distribution of information, education, and communication (IEC) materials.

Health education sessions were also conducted on menstrual health and hygiene, oral health practices, tobacco cessation, and awareness of sanitary pad usage for adolescent girls and women. Additionally, two women received intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) treatment during the camp.

The initiative aimed to provide preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services, with special emphasis on maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and nutrition awareness. Organizers highlighted that the camps are part of ongoing efforts to improve community health and empower women and families in Kiphire District through accessible medical services and health education.
