Mokokchung, March 22 (MTNews): A day long refreshers’ training on Routine Immunization for Medical Officers of Mokokchung and Longleng districts was held at Conference hall, Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung on the 22nd of March 2022.

 

Welcoming the dignitaries from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima, Medical Officers and facilitators from WHO & UNDP, Dr.R Chubala Aier, Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung urged the SMOs and MOs to take the opportunity to interact and address difficulties. She further stressed on the importance of proper documentation, collection of data, reporting and IEC activities. She envisioned that the training will strengthen and improve Routine Immunization in the District.

 

The Medical officers were trained on strategies to improve Routine Immunization, National Immunization schedule & managing Immunization schedule, cold chain and logistics management, AEFI, Safety & Waste disposal, Recording-Reporting & using data for action (HMIS, MCTS,SS etc) and communication plan strategies.

 

The facilitators were Dr. Rio, Dy. Director, DoHFW, Dr. Sheila SMO WHO, Mr. Rajesh K Monsang, RPO UNDP, and Mr. Kingson Kamkara SPO UNDP.
