The Rengma Hoho held its General Executive Body Meeting on Friday at the Town Hall in Tseminyu. The meeting was chaired by vice president Timothy Thong. Rev Tusaya Kath, Pastor of the AG Church, delivered the invocation prayer, seeking blessings for the proceedings. Vice president Hanenmu Semy delivered the welcome address.

Er Tesinlo Semy presented the keynote address, while Revd Dr Phanenmo Kath, Professor at Eastern Theological College, Jorhat, served as the theme speaker on “Reformation of Leadership in the Contemporary Rengma Context”. A special song was presented by Yhunyele Magh.

During the meeting, the Rengma Hoho Constitution fourth amendment was approved. The house also elected new office bearers for the tenure 2026 to 2028. Gwasinlo Thong was elected president. Khillo and Phillip Kent were elected as vice presidents. Thomas K Rengma was elected general secretary, while Anilo Rengma was elected secretary. Kenneth Woch was appointed media secretary and P Ngabu Tep cultural secretary. Sosin Ras and Renosin Kath were elected as women coordinators. A Khekiya Ghaponza was elected finance secretary and Hanenmu Semy treasurer.

The meeting further resolved to induct the Rengma Nzonkhwen Literature Board, the Rengma Nthenyi Literature Board and the Rengma Sports Association into the Rengma Hoho Executive.

The meeting concluded with Sentilo Wanth proposing the vote of thanks, followed by the benediction pronounced by Rev Sukhi Mesen, Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, Tseminyu.
