The Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) has formally addressed the territorial manager of Airtel Tseminyu and the Jio Center Manager in Kohima, expressing deep dissatisfaction with the quality of internet service in Tseminyu District.
In a press statement, the RSZ highlighted the severe issues regarding the performance of network operators in Tseminyu District stating that the residents of Tseminyu have been facing persistent problems with Airtel and Jio network connectivity and internet services.
The RSZ stated that over the past several months, the quality of Airtel and Jio network services has deteriorated significantly. The issues include frequent call drops, extremely slow internet speeds, and complete network outages.
“These problems are not only causing inconveniences but are also affecting the daily lives and businesses of the residents,” it said.
The RSZ added that despite numerous complaints made to the respective network operators, there has been no improvement in service quality. “The residents rely heavily on these services for communication, education, and business purposes, and the current situation is unacceptable and unsustainable,” it added.
Given the critical nature of reliable communication services in today’s world, the RSZ requested their intervention to address the matter urgently.
The RSZ requested an immediate audit of the network services provided by all operators in Tseminyu District to assess the current quality and identify specific areas of failure. It also urged for a facilitative meeting with the network operators to discuss the findings of the audit and demand a concrete plan for improvement with clear timelines.
The RSZ also suggested that a system be established for ongoing monitoring of network service quality to ensure sustained improvements and accountability.
