Mokokchung, 14 November (MTNews): The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsüvisie Phoji, has informed that the movement of all heavy vehicles on the Dikhu Bridge at Mokokchung to Noksen (Tuensang) road via Longmisa village shall be restricted from 13 November to 26 November to facilitate the necessary repair works.
He mentioned that a portion of the deck slab of Dikhu Bridge has been damaged and poses a great danger to the lives and properties of the general public; therefore, only light vehicles carrying personnel/luggage will be allowed during the stipulated time.
Furthermore, EAC Ongpangkong has been instructed to coordinate and ensure that the restriction of movement for all heavy vehicles is adhered to.
“This is for your kind information and strict compliance. Non-compliance shall invite penal action as per the relevant section of the law,” he added.
