Lima has truly led the church in coordinating with AVBM till he breathed his last on 21 November 2021,” an update received here said.

“In order to bind a more meaningful relationship both with the Church and the family members of late Rev. I. Lima, the AVBM has decided to build a memorial in the form of a Light Tower in honour of the deceased,” it added.

In a most pious but simple program, the Light House was inaugurated by Mrs. Yashimakla, wife of late Rev. I. Lima Jamir and dedicated by Mr. Kikum Longkumer, Pastor of Kumlong Baptist Church. Mr. Aowati, elder brother of Rev. I. Lima delivering a short speech on behalf of the family members of Rev. I. Lima thanked the AVBM for inviting them to this program and a meaningful get-together. I was greatly moved and speechless.
Does my brother deserve this much that too from Assam? Yes… maybe …”

AVBM President highlighted the genesis on this Light House saying – “it was actually a multipurpose tower consisting of not only Lights but Water Tanks and Watch Tower too signifying Vision, water for elixir of life and Lights, all of which guiding AVBM comparable only to the assistances continuously extended by the Kumlong Baptist Church.”

Huni Gogoi, AVBM Evangelist initiated today’s program. Invocation was said by T Panger Jamir, Pastor Nakachari Ao Baptist Church. Kikum Longkumer spoke on behalf of Kumlong Baptist Church. He too praised the AVBM for this “unexpected but mammoth project” sending a strong message of love with honour not only to the deceased but to the entire congregation of the Kumlong Baptist Church.
