Kohima, 15 October (MTNews): Reverend Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church and Principal of Kohima Bible College, exhorted believers to lead a life of prayer during a pulpit exchange program at Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church, Kohima (SABCK). This program was organized under the Kohima Baptist Pastors Fellowship (KBPF), as stated in a press release issued by Koinonia Media Ministry.

He encouraged the congregation on the importance of prayer, quoting from 1 Peter 4:7 in the scripture, urging people to be ‘serious’ and ‘watchful’ in their prayers. He emphasized that prayerful individuals do not forget the benefits of God. He stressed that dwelling in the secret place (Psalm 91) is achieved through prayer and advised the congregation to learn to pray as taught by Jesus Himself in Matthew 6:9-13.

The speaker also preached about the unity of the Church, emphasizing that it should be in one heart and one soul, referring to Acts 4:32. He encouraged Church leaders to serve with the Holy Spirit through preaching, healing, and deliverance, not relying solely on their theological degrees but also on prayerful ministry.

Rev Kiewhuo reminded the congregation that the Great Commission of God is a mission that should be fulfilled through prayers. Furthermore, he emphasized that prayer has no retirement age or age restrictions, urging elders to pray like Jacob and Isaac, who prayed and fought for blessings.
