The Rising People’s Party would like to thank each and every individual who graciously contributed towards the party’s crowd-funding campaign for the completion of the Foothill road.
On September 3, 2021 the RPP initiated a crowd-funding campaign through MILAAP, an online crowd-funding agency, to raise Rs. 10 Cr which the RPP felt was the need of the hour to spur the completion of the Foothill road left abandoned by the state government.
Though the amount raised was small, Rs. 2,08,100/- only (Two lakhs eight thousand and one hundred), the party is of the opinion that the event was an overall success since the campaign managed to wake up the pretending-to-sleep UDA Coalition government.
Out of the total amount, MILAAP deducted 4% as service fee and the balance amount with the party is Rs. 1,96,638.40/-
On 26th June, the party met some high officials of the state PWD at Kohima to hand over the money. However, the officials pleaded the department’s inability to accept the amount on technical grounds, and the same was reiterated some days later by the department – after apparent consultation with the state government, perhaps.
IT’S NOW AMPLY CLEAR THAT THE UDA COALITION IS NOT GOING TO ACCEPT PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION.
This being the case, the Rising People’s Party solicits the opinion of the Naga public as to WHAT should be done with the money.
All opinions are eagerly solicited and the same may be given within a week by either mailing us at risingpeoplesparty@gmail.com or by WhatsApp text at the given numbers 9856311798/7005633696.
In the meantime, pending public opinion the party will not take any further steps.
