Mokokchung, September 19 (MTNews): “RPP will resort to agitation if PD order is not rescinded within 3 days,” the Rising People’s Party have stated in a press release while strongly opposing the recent notification of the Principal Director, Health &Family Welfare (H&FW) Department dated 17th September 2022 directing Chief Medical Officers/Medical Superintendents of all the districts to assist BJP medical camps to be conducted from 19 September to 1 October 2022 by the party.

The RPP pointed out that as per the letter; H&FW Minister Pangyu Phom and BJP Nagaland directed the Principal Director, H&FW Department, to issue the direction.

“This order is illegal and unconstitutional. The H&FW Department is not an extension of the BJP party apparatus nor are the CMOs/MS/employees of the health department party Karyakatas that the BJP can give directions or utilize the department’s service at will,” the RPP reminded the Minister and BJP Nagaland.

“If the BJP Nagaland wants to organize medical camps it’s free to do so with their own resources and their own paid doctors or approach charitable bodies like Lion’s Club and Rotary Club,” it added.

The party then asserted that if the Principal Director’s notification is not rescinded/withdrawn within 3 days of the publication of the letter, the Rising People’s Party would resort to agitation.
“There’s a limit to everything,” it reasoned.

The party also asked Chief Minister of the state, Neiphiu Rio to note the “outrageous and condemnable maneuvering of his own cabinet colleagues and alliance partners” which according to the party not only undermine his own authority but also “portrays the picture that the CM is now a mute spectator with no real authority.”

The party in conclusion reiterated that the unacceptable letter be withdrawn within the stipulated time.
