At least 11 projects have been approved by the Union government amounting to a total of Rs 1503.44 crore under the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North East Region (PM-DevINE) scheme, including the seven projects announced in Budget 2022-23.
This information was given by Union Minister for Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, G Kishan Reddy in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
According to Reddy, an amount of Rs 180 crore has been approved for 22 livelihood projects relating to Special Development of Eastern Nagaland under the Social Development sector.
The highest amount approved was Rs 500 crore for “Construction of Aizawl By-pass Road on Western Side” in Mizoram under the Infrastructure sector.
