A first-of-its-kind initiative, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland has issued an order to the heads of all government schools with foundational stages in Nagaland to organize a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) on the 9th of October 2024.

This is part of the project for school heads under Cycle-3 of the Nagaland Literacy and Numeracy Fest 2.0, a press release issued by Imchanok Jamir, Media and Communications Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland said.

This mega event will be organized on a single notified date in the state to encourage community participation in education. The primary goal of the initiative is to sensitize parents to how their involvement in their child’s education leads to better learning outcomes.

It also aims to inform parents about the learning progress of their children and the initiatives taken by the state in the foundational stage.

“The State Mission Director invites all parents and stakeholders to participate in this mega initiative to witness and celebrate their children’s learning progress,” the press release added.
