Mokokchung, 15th October (MTNews): A second-half own goal by Sanyem Konyak proved costly for Nagaland as the host team, Uttar Pradesh, secured a 2-1 victory in the fourth Group C league match of the ongoing Santosh Trophy played in Greater Noida on Sunday, October 15th. The match witnessed Uttar Pradesh taking an early lead in the 10th minute, while Haileuyibe Iranggau managed to level the score for Nagaland in the 14th minute.

However, the second half took a turn for the worse for Nagaland when Konyak’s own goal in the 70th minute dashed their hopes, allowing Uttar Pradesh to maintain their lead and secure the victory. Nagaland will play their final match against Tamil Nadu, having accumulated six points in four matches with two wins and two defeats.
