The Kiphire District Cricket Association (KDCA) Silver Jubilee Tournament concluded on September 28, 2024, at the Public Ground in Kiphire. In the final match, Saramati Nexus Club emerged victorious over Kiphire Knight Riders, winning by 4 wickets and claiming the tournament trophy.


Following the match, an award presentation ceremony took place at 3:00 PM, featuring key stakeholders and dignitaries.

Justin Khatomong T, Hon. President of the KDCA, delivered an inspiring address, expressing gratitude to all sponsors, players, and officials for their contributions and commitment. He reaffirmed the KDCA’s dedication to promoting sports and youth development in the district and urged continued community support.

Luthong Yimkhiung, PA to the Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, congratulated the KDCA on the successful execution of the tournament. He emphasized the potential of sports as a viable career for youth and reminded participants that both winning and losing are integral to the sporting experience. He encouraged players to maintain their passion for cricket and continue fostering the sport in the district.

Awards were then presented to outstanding players, recognizing their exceptional performances throughout the tournament.

Rohit Rai, Convener of the Planning Cum History Committee, delivered a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support of all stakeholders, including sponsors, officials, and volunteers, who contributed to the tournament’s success. He commended the efforts of the KDCA and the dedication of the teams involved.
