The Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO) has agreed to suspend the restriction on the movement of heavy motor vehicles with more than 3 axles along National Highway 2 (Kohima-Mao Road) for five days, effective from yesterday evening.
This agreement was reached following a meeting convened by the Deputy Commissioner yesterday with the Southern Angami Public Organization and SAYO.
The state government also agreed to notify the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to expedite the expansion of the sanctioned NH-02 along the Kohima-Mao Road.
