The Christian Education Department of the Sumi Baptist Churches Association (SBAK) Aizuto, in collaboration with Sound Wave Studio, Mokokchung, is organizing a Sound Engineering Training with 43 registered participants under the theme “Sound for Jesus.”
Rev. Dr. Daniel Chishi, Executive Secretary of SBAK Aizuto, graced the occasion with the Word of God and a prayer. Under the leadership of Ms. Illika (Secretary, Christian Education) and Mrs. Zhetoli Ahoshe (Coordinator), this initiative was taken to address a concern for children’s ministry leaders, who often require smooth sound and music to effectively lead children in songs, choreography, and other activities. This, in turn, helps children enjoy worshiping the Lord through song and action.
Additionally, the training aims to empower youth in handling church sound systems, helping to maintain a calm and effective worship environment in local churches. The training also serves to address unemployment among youth in Sumi churches to some extent.
Sir Lima Lemtur, Assistant Professor at NBC and Proprietor of Sound Wave Studio, Mokokchung, Nagaland, served as the instructor and course facilitator. He diligently guided and trained the participants.
Alongside the sound engineering training, the department has also introduced an Integrated Course in Christian Education from 6th to 10th May 2025. The purpose is to enhance the theological knowledge and psychological understanding of contemporary children, thereby preparing Sunday School leaders (Children Educators) to effectively engage with Generation Beta.
May this training help the churches grow in the Lord and bring children and youth into the saving knowledge of Christ.
