Mokokchung, November 13 (MTNews): For the third time now, veteran Naga politician Dr SC Jamir has had to dispel rumors of his passing or health. Rumors of the 5 time Nagaland Chief Minister’s demise started circulating on social media on Sunday evening saying that he had “passed away at 7:15 pm at AIIMS Delhi”
In a 50-second video, the 91 year-old said that through the grace of God he continues to maintain “a very good health.” Jamir said in the video, “It is most unfortunate that some people, who is spreading canard about me which is totally false. However, may god bless them to carry on such canard if they desire to do so, thank you.”
Jamir, who also served as Governor of Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Odisha, had back in February 2019 released similar video refuting news on social media claiming he had died at AIIMS, Delhi.
Further back in 2017, another rumor surfaced insinuating that Jamir had “suffered a heart attack and was admitted to hospital.”
Jamir, then the Odisha Governor , released a video message informing that he had gone to the Apollo Hospital in Bhubaneshwar for normal checkup and that he was “perfectly all right.”
