Dimapur, September 26 (MTNews): The 15th Fresher’s Day of School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Nagaland University, Dimapur was held on 24th September 2022 at IMC Hall under the Theme “Carpe Diem”.
Special guest Munesh IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chumoukedima, while delivering her speech reminded the students to cherish life, value it and enjoy every moment of life. She encouraged the students to use time judiciously and to study with full dedication while keeping a strong determination. She also advised the students to focus on education as it is the most important factor.
Professor V.K. Vidyarthi, Dean NU-SET exhorted the students and encouraged them to be focused and to use the knowledge they gained both as engineers and basic science to convert into a product with the aim of making things work “efficiently and effectively” with principles of science, mathematics and research.
He further encouraged the freshers to be “good engineers” as, “Engineers are the main backbone of a Nation.”
Mr Wamba Walling from CSE department and Miss Sentirenla Ao from AET department were crowned as Mr and Miss Fresher 2022.
