The State College of Teachers Education (SCTE), Kohima, marked its Golden Jubilee (1975–2025) under the theme ”Empowering Teachers, Enriching Lives” at the Capital Convention Centre on November 7.

Dr. T. Alemla Longkumer, Principal of Mokokchung College of Teachers Education, extended greetings and appreciation to all who contributed to the institution’s journey. She said education is a vehicle of change and teachers are the main agents of transformation. Dr. I. Wati Imchen, Principal of Fazl Ali College, described the Jubilee as a milestone celebrating fifty years of service and excellence. He said SCTE has been a pillar of academic and professional formation, preparing generations of teachers who shaped the moral and intellectual fabric of Nagaland’s schools and communities.
Ex-Officio Director of Higher Education, V. Lovitoly Sema, NCS, called the 50-year journey a testament of resilience and dedication. She said the college has produced generations of educators who spread knowledge across the state and emphasized SCTE’s key role in implementing NEP 2020.
