The mortal remains of Late Purtemsu, a 40-year-old resident of Akhoya village, were recovered from the Dikhu River on 5 August, three days after he was swept away by a strong water current on 2 August 2024, Lanutemjen, Company Commandeer, Home Guards, Civil Defense & State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Mokokchung informed.
The recovery was possible due to the immediate response from 15(Fifteen) SDRF personnel under the command of H Kiyekhe, Platoon Commander, and Hony. ASI, Rongsennungba. The body was later handed over to the relatives of the victim.
