After four days of extensive search, the NDRF, SDRF, and DDMA successfully recovered the second body of the drowned youth in Doyang at 9:55 this morning. The deceased was identified as 24-year-old Thungchio Patton. The body has been handed over to the family for the final rites. The first body was recovered on the afternoon of May 29 and was identified as 20-year-old Elanthung Ngullie.
The incident occurred on May 27 when the two victims, along with three companions, were headed to work at the Doyang dam. Their boat capsized due to a sudden strong wind, but the three others managed to swim to safety.
