Debutants Sechü Zubza FC secured their place in the final of the NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy with a narrow 1-0 victory over Asufü Christian Institute in the first semifinal on Wednesday. The decisive goal came from Rhitsho Mero, whose strike in the 17th minute proved enough for Zubza FC to maintain their lead until the final whistle.

Zubza FC dominated the first half, with Asufü taking time to find their rhythm. Former Lajong player Pursunep was a constant threat on the right wing, creating several chances and providing the assist for Mero’s goal. While Asufü struggled to make an impact offensively, Zubza FC goalkeeper James Kithan remained untested, keeping a clean sheet throughout the match.

In the second half, Sechü Zubza FC shifted to a defensive strategy, successfully holding onto their slender lead until the end. Rhitsho Mero, wearing jersey number 10, was named Player of the Match for his crucial contribution.

Earlier in the day, Circle FC Chedema secured a 2-0 win against Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong in the fourth quarterfinal match of the tournament. The match had previously been suspended due to technical difficulties while Chedema FC was leading on Tuesday, thanks to a goal from Daniel. After resuming the match today, Joseph sealed the victory for Chedema with a goal in the 82nd minute, earning him the Player of the Match honors.

Circle FC Chedema will face Asufü FA in the second semifinal at 2:00 pm on Thursday.
