Second batch of Nagaland students heads to ISRO

Twelve students along with one teacher guide from Nagaland departed today for an exposure visit to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru. This marks the second batch from the state to undertake the visit.

Students with parents/guardian and officials from Directorate of School Education before their departure from Dimapur Airport on June 25.

The exposure program is part of the North East Programme for Awareness, Reach & Knowledge on Space (NE-SPARKS), an initiative of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland, an official from the Directorate of School Education (DoSE), Nagaland, Kohima, stated.

The twelve students are from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Dimapur, Pranab Vidhyapith Higher Secondary School Dimapur, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Purana Bazar, Dimapur, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Chumoukedima, Unity Christian Higher Secondary School Chumoukedima and North Town Higher Secondary School Chumoukedima.

The team is led by teacher guide Keneile-u Suokhrie and is scheduled to return to Nagaland on June 28.
