The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) organized an export awareness seminar under the Niryat Bandhu Scheme of DGFT at the Sovima Craft Centre, Dimapur Tuesday.
The seminar aimed to enhance export knowledge and capacity among local artisans, entrepreneurs, and NGOs while creating awareness and understanding of exporting among potential exporters and e-commerce exporters.
The seminar featured key speakers including Jesmina Zeliang, Regional Convenor of EPCH (NER) and an eminent exporter; Harish Kesari, Consultant (DGFT); Shri Sanjeev Kumar, HandicrafT Promotion Officer, O/o DC (Handicrafts), Kohima; Anini Nyenga, Consultant at the Investment Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN); Asangla, Deputy Director, District Industries & Commerce, Nagaland; Daniel Domesh, System Manager, Department of Posts, Government of India; and Bhaskar Baruah, Project Officer, EPCH.
The event was attended by 50 participants, including artisans, entrepreneurs, and representatives from NGOs and the North East Multipurpose Development Society.
