Senior leaders of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) conducted an organizational tour across several districts in Nagaland from May 14 to May 17, 2025. The high-level delegation was led by S Supongmeren Jamir, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and President of the NPCC. He was accompanied by Christopher Tilak, AICC Secretary in charge of Nagaland, NPCC Working President C Apok Jamir and Khriedi Theünuo, and other senior party leaders.

Senior Congress leaders visited Zunheboto on 18 May as part of their statewide organizational tour across Nagaland.

The tour began at Mon district, where a successful program was held at Congress Bhavan. The event was graced by the presence of  S Supongmeren Jamir, Christopher Tilak, C Apok Jamir, and Khriedi Theünuo. They addressed the District Congress Committee (DCC) and party workers, encouraging unity and reaffirming the collective commitment to strengthen the party across Nagaland.

S Supongmeren Jamir also had meaningful interactions with the Konyak Union and Konyak Mothers’ Association. He later visited the construction site of the Mon Medical College, where he assessed the progress of the work and interacted with the officials and workers on site. He emphasized the importance of completing the medical institution on time to improve healthcare services in the district.

He also met with Lalit Kumar, Officer Commanding, Border Roads Organisation (BRO), to discuss the status of ongoing road and infrastructure works in the region. The MP appreciated the BRO’s efforts and assured full support from his end to enhance road connectivity in the district.

Additionally, he also held discussions with the Mon District Administration and later met the Anghs and elders of Totok Chingnyu, Totok Chingkho, and Totok Chingha villages. He listened to their concerns on connectivity, development, and preservation of traditional governance, assuring them of his support.

At Longleng district, Christopher Tilak, C Apok Jamir, and Khriedi Theünuo met with Longleng DCC officials and workers and encouraged them to remain active and committed to the values of the party.

The delegation proceeded to Noklak, where they addressed a gathering of party workers at the Congress Bhavan, calling for dedication, unity, and strengthening the organization at the grassroots level.

At Tuensang, the team interacted with the DCC Tuensang and held a session to motivate and guide grassroots party workers. A District-Level Samvidhan Bachao Abhiyan (Save Constitution Campaign) and Congress Workers Sammelan was successfully held at Congress Bhavan, Tuensang, with key messages delivered by Shri Christopher Tilak and other senior NPCC leaders.

The tour concluded at Zunheboto, where another District-Level Samvidhan Bachao Abhiyan and Workers Sammelan was held at North Point. The program, held on 17 May, was graced by S Supongmeren Jamir and other dignitaries. He addressed the gathering, thanked the party workers for their commitment, and encouraged everyone to continue working in unity for a better future.

“This tour served as a strong message of unity, leadership, and the Congress party’s vision to reach out to the people while strengthening the party structure throughout Nagaland,” an update from the NPCC Communication cell said.
