Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, has issued a directive requiring all government and private offices, establishments, organizations, schools, and colleges under Tuensang district to establish Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) in line with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act 2013 (POSH Act).
The order, which follows the Social Welfare Department’s communication dated 30th January 2025), mandates that these committees be formed as per the provisions of Chapter III, Section 4 & Section 5 of the POSH Act.
Additionally, private organizations, schools, and colleges are required to register their respective establishments on the She-Box Portal at https://shebox.wed.gov.in.
The Deputy Commissioner has instructed that a report on the formation of the ICCs be submitted to the office by 11th February 2025 for onward submission to the government.
