The Aiponger Baptist Church under the Yimkhiung Baptist Borü Amukhungto (YBBA), Shamator District, celebrated its Platinum Jubilee from January 9 to 10, 2026, under the theme “Celebrating the Gospel Freedom.”
Rev. Dr. S.J. Akhum, Executive Secretary of YBBA, dedicated and unveiled the Jubilee monolith during the celebration. The Aiponger Baptist Church is the third church within the Yimkhiung community to attain the Platinum Jubilee milestone.
The speakers for the jubilee programme were Rev. Dr. Athsan, Pastor of YBC Dimapur, who hails from Aiponger village, and Rev. Dr. S.J. Akhum. The celebrations were held under the leadership of Rev. Hetozü, Pastor; Holen, Head GB; and Yanjikhiung, Council Chairman.
Churches and individuals under YBBA, along with invitees from neighbouring Sumi villages of Ngozübo and Zhehishe, attended the programme. More than 600 Aiponger citizens residing outside the village also witnessed and participated in the jubilee celebrations.
