Singer Sanam Puri is all set to marry his longtime girlfriend Zuchobeni Tungoe on January 11. Their wedding will be an intimate ceremony which will be taking place in Nagaland.
Popular singer Sanam Puri will marry his girlfriend and model-singer Zuchobeni Tungoe on January 11. Their intimate wedding will be a dreamy affair that is set to take place in Nagaland and Punjab. Talking more about his wedding in an interview, Sanam revealed that they wish to showcase the beauty of the wedding ritual of both places.
In an exclusive interview with BombayTimes speaking about his special day on 11 February, Sanam said, “Our wedding is set against the picturesque backdrop of Nagaland. A private estate owned by us will play host to our nuptials. We are eagerly waiting to welcome our family and friends to this cherished and scenic locale that holds a special place in our hearts.”
The couple want to showcase the beauty of the wedding rituals of both their home states. “Our wedding theme is a captivating blend of cultures as the vibrancy of Punjabi traditions meets the unique customs of the Naga people. We hope to make this a beautiful amalgamation of differences, uniting in a harmonious display of love and commitment,” says Sanam.
The celebrations will be spread over two days, featuring traditional events, each infused with unique cultural flair. “Our guest list comprises our nearest and dearest, with a special emphasis on Naga tradition, inviting the entire village to partake in this joyous occasion. As the village comes together to celebrate one of their own stepping into a new chapter of life, the blessings of elders and the presence of close kin will truly make this unforgettable for us.”
Apart from having designers for wedding décor, flowers, accessories and clothes the couple have included artisans from the state too. “We’re also fortunate to collaborate with numerous highly skilled local vendors from Nagaland. The ceremony will stand out as unique, celebrating the union of two rich cultures. The festivities, characteristic of Nagaland’s cultural grandeur and the exuberance of Punjabi weddings, will take place on our private property. This event marks the first occasion where we will share this intimate space with our loved ones, adding a personal touch to our celebration.”
About two months ago, Puri posted a photo on Instagram with Tungoe, where he was dressed in matching formal attire and Tungoe in a trailing gown. The caption intriguingly read, ‘It’s not what you think……yet!’
For the unversed, Zuchobeni Tungoe is a vocalist in addition to Sanam. She posts vlogs about her everyday life on her own YouTube channel, along with versions of well-known tunes. It appears that Tungoe and Puri’s marriage is becoming official. According to the singer and model’s most recent Instagram stories, her pals threw her a bridal shower. She posted a clip with balloons that spell out “Bride to Be.”
A week ago, Tungoe posted a photo of the two of them on Instagram with the remark, “Counting days.”
