Ram Kabutar Singh defeated Amateur A 1-0 in the final to emerge champions of the Intra-College Futsal Tournament organised by the Sports Committee of Fazl Ali College from September 3 to 5.
Twelve teams participated in the tournament, including Amateur A, Amateur B, Papa’s FC, Nexus, Alpha Tribe, Geographers, Dynastic FC, Branch FC, Ram Kabutar Singh, Tongkong Rangers, Yongkai Memorial Club and Fairplay FC.
Sanwash of Ram Kabutar Singh was named Player of the Tournament, while Tingyum T. Konyak of Amateur A received the Highest Scorer award. Imdanglemba Longkumer of Ram Kabutar Singh was adjudged Best Goalkeeper.
The tournament was conducted by the Sports Club under the Sports Committee of Fazl Ali College. The committee said it plans to organise similar intra-college tournaments in other sporting disciplines to provide students with opportunities to participate and showcase their talents.
The committee also acknowledged the support of the college principal and vice principal towards student activities and sports.
