Enoch Wotsa, Nagaland government nominee for the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) and son of Pughoboto MLA Dr Sukhato Wotsa, was reportedly caught in the early hours of Wednesday by Khatkati Police in Assam.
According to reports, Wotsa, who also serves as vice president of the NDPP Dimapur youth organisation, was with three other individuals whose identities are yet to be confirmed. He was allegedly found transporting a large quantity of alcohol in one government-registered vehicle and two private vehicles bearing Dimapur registration plates.
Photos and videos of the incident have been widely circulated on social media, showing the consignment of alcohol seized by Assam police. However, the exact quantity of the seized consignment has not been disclosed.
