The Sangtam Students’ Union Kohima (SSUK) organized an Open Penalty Shootout Competition on September 6 at TM Ground near Kohima College, beginning at 10:00 AM.
The event opened with a welcome address by SSUK president Longtili C. Sangtam, followed by an invocation prayer from Tsariba Sangtam, Youth Pastor of Sangtam Baptist Lithro Kohima. A total of 29 teams participated, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and sportsmanship. After an intense contest, Team Mez & Co emerged as champions, while Team Revo secured the runners-up position. Sedekhotuo Sote was awarded Best Keeper for his performance.
The competition was held as part of the Mungmung Festival get-together and served as a fund-raising initiative for the upcoming Cultural Program on September 27 at the State Academy Hall, Kohima. SSUK conveyed gratitude to all supporting unions, churches, donors, officials, and participants for making the event a success.
