Chami (Mokokchung), March 12: As part of its Outreach Program aimed at reaching out to people in need, the ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung District visited the Soul Care Children’s Home at Chami village, Mokokchung, and donated provisions to the boarders in the Home.
The Soul Care Children’s Home is run by the Soul Care Society and there are eighteen children from the age group 5-14 years boarding at the home.
The Convener of Outreach Programe, Lanuchiba, also the vice president of ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung, said that the Morcha decided to initiate the ‘Outreach Program’, not necessarily as a political work, but as a means to realise the visions of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of reaching out to the least privileged section in the society with messages of hope and love. Likewise, the ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung aptly chose the theme ‘Children – Our Hope’ so as to spread the message that every child, wherever he or she might be, is the greatest treasure of the nation and every child deserves of our love.
The ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung President Oyimpong Longchar, while delivering a short speech, said that the Outreach Programme was a sole initiative of the ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung who collected the provision from among circle of friends and well-wishers only. He also deeply appreciated the Soul Care Society for taking the great responsibility of looking after the children and asserted that their mission in bringing up the destitute children is a great service to the nation. Oyimpong also appreciated the BJP State President Imna Along Longkumer, and the ST Morcha, Nagaland State Unit President, Awan Konyak, for always inspiring the ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung to vigorously carry out the BJP’s programs and policies in every section of the society.
The Director of Soul Care Society, Pastor Alem Aier appreciated the visiting ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung team and accepted the donated provisions. He said that the noble gesture of the BJP has touched the innermost hearts of the Children’s Home and prayed God to bless the donors for their generosity.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary (Org.) of ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung, Akumdi Pongen chaired the programme while Gen. Sec. (Admn.) M. Along Longchar invoked God’s blessings.
