The stage is set for the 30th Naga Traditional Wrestling Championship, along with the 1st NWA Under-15 Championship and the 1st NWA Provisional Championship-cum-1st Wrestling Festival, to be organized by the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) at Khuochiezie Local Ground, Kohima, on March 6 and 7. The championship is being powered by the Ministry of Tourism and the Department of Tourism.
The 1st Provisional Naga Traditional Wrestling Championship will be held tomorrow. It will feature eight wrestlers each from six provisional units of the NWA: Lotha, Sumi, Pochury, Rengma, Chang and Sangtam.
The Under-15 category will also take place on the same day, featuring eight wrestlers each from three affiliated units of the NWA: Angami, Chakhesang and Zeliang.
The main championship, scheduled for Saturday, will feature the top 18 wrestlers each from the three NWA units.
