A farewell program in honor of Additional Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner, R. Ramakrishnan, IAS, was held at Doulhou Garden, Billy Graham Road, Kohima, on 27 February 2025.

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Planning & National Highways, TR Zeliang, addressed the gathering, praising Ramakrishnan for his unwavering commitment and dedication. He stated that Ramakrishnan’s leadership and ability to navigate complex challenges played a pivotal role in shaping the policies and initiatives that have significantly transformed the state. Zeliang described him as not only an officer but also a strategist, problem solver, and tireless advocate for effective governance. He further emphasized that Ramakrishnan’s service to the state would always be cherished and remembered.

In his farewell speech, the retiring Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner, R Ramakrishnan, expressed his gratitude for the support he received throughout his career. He acknowledged the contributions of department officers and staff in helping him achieve his career milestones and extended his best wishes for the continued progress of the department. Ramakrishnan urged everyone to maintain their commitment to the state’s development, reinforcing the importance of collective effort.

Short speeches were also delivered by several distinguished guests, including the Secretary of Planning & Transport Department, P Nungsangwapang Jamir, JDC Vilhouhunuo Sachu, retired Additional Development Commissioner, Nlumo Murry, and Project Director of GIS, Er. Mhathung Kithan, who all spoke highly of Ramakrishnan’s tenure and contributions to the state’s development.
