Mokokchung, 17 November (MTNews): The District Touring Program led by State BJP President Benjamin Yepthomi and his team of State Office Bearers concluded of Friday with a grand reception organized by BJP Dimapur District at Hotel Saramati. The program, which commenced on 28 October 2023 in Mon covered all 16 Districts of Nagaland, making it a historic initiative by the BJP Nagaland.
State BJP President Benjamin Yepthomi demonstrated “a true sense of zeal and enthusiasm” throughout the tour, with the primary objective of expanding the party’s reach in Nagaland, an update from the party received here said. His efforts focused on garnering support, building friendships, and strengthening the Booth Level Committees, the update said. This marks the first time in the history of BJP Nagaland that a State President has extensively toured all the Districts to connect with the grassroots people, it added.
The President and his team engaged in a series of intensive meetings with District Office Bearers, Mandals, Morchas, and Booth Level officials in Mon, Aboi, Longleng, Tuensang, Noklak, Shamator, Kipheri, Meluri, Phek, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, Wokha, Kohima, Jalukie, Tenning, and Dimapur Districts.
At the Culmination Program held at Hotel Saramati in Dimapur, State President Benjamin Yepthomi addressed the importance of the extensive district touring, stating that it was initiated to understand the ground realities and grievances of all 16 Districts, 60 Mandals, and Booth Levels.
He emphasized, “A time has come for us to work with all sincerity and commitment to uphold the Bharatiya Janata Party from the grassroots level to the State level as our top priority.”
Calling upon all karyakartas to extend full cooperation to District Presidents, Yepthomi emphasized the urgency for Morcha Heads and Mandal Touring Programs to follow suit, aiming to complete all 2398 Booth Level Committees by the end of December.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception during their district visits, Yepthomi acknowledged Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Leader Y Patton for their constant support throughout the touring program. The State BJP President highlighted the need for collective efforts for the positive growth and progress of the party in Nagaland.
