The Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department (Personal Information Management System Cell) has informed that the State Government has issued instructions from time to time for the registration of Government employees in PIMS, with the latest instructions issued via OM NO. PAR/PIMS-10/2017 dated 4/3/2022 and OM NO. PAR/PIMS-2/2015 dated 23/4/2024.

However, it has been observed that many Government employees engaged under State Sponsored Schemes (SSS) and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) are not registered in PIMS. As a result, they are not covered by the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) and, therefore, are unable to avail themselves of the health benefits provided by the State Government, as registration in CMHIS requires the employee’s PIMS code.

In the interest of ensuring all Government employees are covered under CMHIS, all Departments are directed to mandatorily register their SSS and CSS employees in PIMS if not already done.

Departments are reminded to submit the application for registration in PIMS, along with the requisite documents, strictly in accordance with the instructions provided via OM NO. PAR/PIMS-10/2017 dated 4/3/2022 and OM NO. PAR/PIMS-2/2015 dated 23/4/2024. Additionally, the submission of applications for registration must be completed within one month from the date of issuance of this OM.
