In continuation of the “War against Drugs” under the leadership of the DGP, Nagaland, the state-level Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) half-yearly review meeting was conducted on Monday at the DGP’s Conference Hall, PHQ, Kohima.

The meeting was attended by Sandeep M Tamgadge, IPS, ADGP (L&O) and State Head of ANTF; Vikram M Khalate, IPS, IGP (CID) and Investigation Head of ANTF; other senior officers of PHQ; District Police Chiefs; and District-level ANTF Nodal Officers.

ADGP (L&O) welcomed the participants and briefed them on the structure and function of NCORD and ANTF in the state. During the meeting, various points were reviewed, including the total number of activities carried out for the functioning of Narcotic Coordination at the district level, the number of meetings (NCORD and ANTF) conducted, the data uploaded on the NIDAN Portal, fingerprints uploaded on the NAFIS portal, the number of cases registered, the number of vehicles confiscated, the number of persons arrested, and the total amount of illegal drugs and contraband seized in the last six months.

ADGP (L&O) acknowledged the positive reports from all District Chiefs and encouraged them to conduct NCORD and ANTF meetings on a regular basis. He also reminded the District Chiefs to conduct awareness programs, events, or campaigns related to drugs and psychotropic substances.
