A rental SUV Mahindra Bolero B6 bearing registration number AS01 FZ 1314 from Guwahati was recovered by the NSCN/GPRN, the group’s MIP informed in a press release. It said that they received information about the stolen vehicle, which was found to be heading towards Kohima, on January 13. “The Ministry of Kilo Affairs hurriedly activated the Surveillance Team led by Theja Kire. After a hot chase for about half an hour, the vehicle was successfully intercepted at Jotsoma junction below Kohima, and brought to the office of Ministry of Kilo Affairs, CHQ/Hebron,” the MIP stated.
“Proper formalities were followed and the rightful owner was identified as Achyut K Das and the rental car owner as Goutam Chutia, and, thereby, the vehicle was handed over to them on the night of 15th January, 2025,” it added.
“The public and the vehicle owners are informed to be alert and get connected to our authorities when such incident arises,” it also said.
