public movement restricted for 3 hours
Mokokchung, 23 May (MTNews): Authorities have informed that there will be no vehicular or public movement allowed on 24 May for a period of three hours (6:00 PM to 9:00 PM) along NH-02 (erstwhile NH-61) between DEF Police Project and Yisemyong from km 135 to km 147 and km 156 to km 168.
This temporary suspension is necessary to carry out the blasting operations effectively and without risk to public safety, it was informed.
It may be mentioned here that the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung has granted the permit to the contractors to “carry out blasting of stone at the construction site of two lane” at the mentioned locations. The company is to follow all the relevant rules of the Explosives Rules, 2008.
