A Debate and Elocution Competition was held on Saturday at Queen Mary Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung, in commemoration of the Silver Jubilee celebration of the All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) Mokokchung Unit.
Winners of the Debate and Elocution Competition along with ANPSA Mokokchung Unit officials on October 11.
Speaking to MT, Joshua Longkumer, president of ANPSA Mokokchung Unit, said the event was organized as a “curtain-raiser” to their jubilee celebration scheduled for next year, with a special focus on encouraging speech-based competitions.
“We have so many competitions on singing but we rarely have competitions focused on speech, so we came up with this. We are looking forward to having more of such competitions,” Longkumer stated.
Currently, a total of 27 schools fall under the ANPSA Mokokchung Unit, including schools from Mangkolemba, Tuli, and Changtongya.
