Peren, November 17 (MTNews): District Health Society, Peren launched the Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan (SUMAN) scheme at District Hospital, Peren on Thursday.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Limatula Ao, Medical Superintendent, DH, Peren shared the importance of regular antenatal check, timely immunization of children and encouraged for institutional delivery. She highlighted the main aim of the SUMAN scheme.
Dr. Dennis Chingpen, Gynae (SMO) in his keynote address and powerpoint presentation highlighted SUMAN activities. He shared on the free and safe services for delivery care and treatment available through SUMAN scheme.
The launching program was followed by an interactive session. Dr. Renponthung Kikon, SMO, chaired the program. The launching program was attended by officials from GB’s, Town Council, Ward Chairman, pregnant women and ASHAs.
