Sungratsu, October 7 (MTNews): The Sungratsu Officers Forum celebrated its silver jubilee on Friday at Senden Salang, Sungratsu village, Mokokchung under the theme “Khutong,” with Rev. S. Wati Aier, Principal, Discipleship Bible College, Dimapur as the theme speaker during the silver jubilee.

 

Rev. S. Wati Aier speaking as the theme speaker interpreted the theme of “Khutong” to a leader. Khutong, he added, were excellent leaders who contributed to the wellbeing of society in the past and who the officers have now replaced. He said that the forum’s jubilee was an opportunity to look back and reflect on its accomplishments. He noted that the village community has not forgotten the forum’s numerous contributions to the community and that its involvement has led to notable improvements in all fields of the society.

 

He stated that the officers are the supporters and leaders who should place equal emphasis on the religious and social components of society in addition to the social and political ones. He went on to say that every officer needs to be a Khutong in the society.

 

Dr. Imtiwapang Aier MLA, 23 Impur A/C ; Dr. Daniel Longchar IAS (Rtd.), the first Forum President; Toshitsüngba Aier IPS (Rtd.); M. Taka Longchar, the chairman of Sungratsu village council, and Temsunaro Aier, IAS gave brief exhortations during the jubilee event. L. Bendang Lemtur, IPS released the jubilee souvenir while the Süngratsü Students’ Union and the Süngratsü Watsü Telen presented a song each. The Officers Forum received a special prayer from Rev. T. Mapu Walling.

 

The Sungratsu Officers Forum has 225 members.
